Elvis Presley – The U.K. Sun Sessions Released

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

We are proud to announce the immediate release of Elvis Presley – The U.K. Sun Sessions.

In the compiling of the Sun Master recording in London in the 50s, it was understood that several of the actual acetates used in the day served as a pre-recording demo, essentially showing a song to a singing artist. We have provided the actual recordings of both master and acetate demos not to often heard these days for your full experience in listening and discovering Mr. E.P.’s beginning.

Jackdawg to be featured on “Classic Artists Today” Podcast

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

We’ve just received the following update from Ray White of Classic Artists Today (The CAT.) Be sure to tune in!

Before the Doobie Brothers performance in Newport News, VA this past Sunday, we had the pleasure to interview the Doobie Brothers’ John McFee.  We talked about his Jackdawg project that was recorded in the late 80′s and early 90′s.  The late Keith Knudsen of the Doobies, along with Stu Cook – formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival joined John in Jackdawg.  We are scheduled to air part of the interview with John on our weekly syndicated radio show,  Classic Artists Today – “The Best Songs Today…From Yesterday’s Top Artists,” during the week of January 5th, 2009.  We’ll also play a song from the Jackdawg CD, and a “classic” Doobie Brothers song with John.

If you can’t wait that long to hear a song from the “Jackdawg” CD, we will be playing a track on “The C.A.T.” during our show airing the week starting Monday, December 8th.  Visit our Web Sites at www.classicartiststoday.com and www.myspace.com/classicartiststoday to learn more about our show that features “new” (or previously unreleased) tracks from “classic” artists.  Information on our Radio Station affiliates (how you can tune-in) and show times can be found on our site.  All of our shows are also simulcast on the Net!

For information on “Jackdawg,” and/or to purchase the album, visit www.sonicpastmusic.com   We’re working on lining up another Doobie Brothers special during the first quarter of 2009 – stay tuned to Classic Artists Today!!

Thank you to John for spending some time with us and to The Doobie Brothers – for another great show!!
