Keith Colley

Keith Colley - Mindrocker
Click to OrderMindrocker - In 1968 I was a member of the L.A. based group The Millennium, we were signed as songwriters to four star music, a Hollywood publishing company. We were recognized as prolific and hot new writers on the scene. There was a guy by the name of Keith Colley who was a writer as well as an executive for the company not to mention that his wife was the office manager as well as co-writer on some of his songs.
We were in our own world with making the Millennium album and didn’t pay much attention to anyone outside our clan. A few years later Keith and I became friends and we made a date to do some writing, well then one night Lee Mallory and me went to Keith’s house and my eyes fell out. We went into his studio and he had records from one end to the other, from ceiling to the floor. I asked “what’s this all about?” He said these are songs I have written and that have been covered by other artists. This is Keith, what a great career. Here are just the first issue of some of those songs in their original demo form, great recordings with some of the best studio musicians in L.A. at the time.
From Glen Campbell to Rusty Young, to Seals & Crofts, Randy Meisner. Please take a few minutes and travel back to the relative beginning of Rock & Roll, as Keith wrote for Knickerbockers, Gene Vincent , and many greats. We hope that you will like this CD, I sure do.
